Locally Sourced Ingredients

We prioritize partnering with local farmers and producers in Singapore. This not only significantly reduces our carbon footprint by cutting transportation emissions but also proudly supports our local agricultural community.

Farm-to-Table Recognition

Our dedication to local sourcing was recognized in 2023 when the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) awarded us the Highest Tier in the Farm-to-Table Recognition Programme. This acknowledges our commitment to incorporating a significant percentage of local produce into our menus.

Seasonal Menu Planning

Our menus are crafted around the freshest, in-season ingredients. This ensures peak flavor and quality for your guests while minimizing the environmental impact associated with out-of-season food production and long-distance transportation.

Food Waste System

Purple Sage has invested in cutting-edge technology, including a "valoriser" (a bio-digester), which ingeniously converts food waste into a substrate. This substrate can then be transformed into fish food for farms, effectively creating a circular economy and diverting organic waste from landfills.

Zero-Waste Practices

Our culinary team is skilled in maximizing ingredient utility. Vegetable trimmings become rich stocks or soups, and fruit peels are used for flavorful infusions, ensuring that every part of the ingredient is valued.

Mindful Portion Control

We meticulously manage portion sizes to reduce excess food production, which in turn significantly minimizes food waste and conserves precious resources like water, energy, and land.

Eco-friendly Biodegradable Serveware

We provides a comprehensive selection of reusable service ware, encompassing refined bamboo plates, stainless steel cutlery, and elegant glassware, all designed for durability and repeated use.

Elimination of Single-Use Plastics

We are firmly committed to phasing out single-use plastics. For cutlery, we utilize Cornware or durable reusable options. Additionally, we have entirely replaced plastic straws with paper alternatives, provided only when necessary.

Eco-Conscious Setups Upon Request

Our holistic approach extends to event setups. We actively reduce linen usage, saving energy on cleaning, and offer creative, non-linen alternatives like rustic pallet wood set-ups that add a unique aesthetic to your event.
